Ronaldo, Rooney and Real
Despite spending the whole of the World Cup Finals angling for a deal at Real Madrid, Manchester United pretty boy and grade A narcissist Cristiano Ronaldo is now saying this :
"I have no reason to leave the club [Manchester United], they have always supported me, they always gave me guarantees of being able to evolve as a player..."
Hmm...that's a bit of a turn around from someone so sure he was going to Spain.
By some strange coincidence, the noises coming out of Real are that new President Ramon Calderon isn't really interested in Ronaldo. It seems that young master Ronaldo and his agents held talks with the wrong candidate for the Real presidency. They spoke to Juan Miguel Villar who, unfortunately for him and the Premiership's favourite villain, didn't win. Ho hum.
Personally, I like watching Senor Ronaldo wind up the English crowds in the Premiership. I think it's good fun. But for his arrogance over his future during the World Cup alone, I'm going to suggest that Rooney gives him a quiet slap if he ever returns to Manchester.
